Amplifiers

We repair all types of audio amplifier including high power audio amplifiers suitable for clubs and other venues. Whether your Cambridge Audio amplifier failed at a party or your 2kW rack mount amplifier indicates protect mode we can repair to a high standard and return your amplifier in good reliable working order. All amplifiers are soak tested to ensure reliability in the field.

Tabletop CD players

Generally tabletop CD players are fairly reliable, some do suffer from laser damage from time to time and heavily used ones can develop problems with the switches controlling play or cue. Power supply faults also do happen every now and then. Whatever the problem is we can repair it - we repair to component level and so normally when others just replace expensive boards or modules, we replace the faulty component instead. The only modules we tend to replace as a whole when they are faulty are the laser assemblies, to give you maximum reliability after repair.

This problem happens quite often. Plugging 240V into a 120V deck burns out two vital components and things get a bit smoky! Typical repair cost £75.

Pioneer CDJ buttons not working properly

Heavy use wears out the tactile switches. Typical cost for 1-4 replacement switches to be fitted approximately £45.

There can be a few different reasons for this, some cheap to repair and some not so cheap. Ranges from £30 to £250 - a quote for repair will be given upon inspection.

Mixers

Mixers can take quite a hammering from DJs! Even high end mixers develop fader problems after a long period of use. Reliability of the faders reduce under detrimental conditions such as club environments and storage with no regard to dust ingress. Input connectors can be damaged from rough handling. Static can kill input stages, resulting in a lost channel. We can repair all of this, we can recondition old faders and/or replace ones beyond repair, we can repair mixer power supplies and mixers that have had liquid damage.

Speakers

It is common to see blown speakers from overdriving or amplifier distortion, typically when speakers are used without properly set up limiting equipment. We can replace drivers, horns and tweeters with quality high power units for long life under the proper conditions. Often, speakers we repair come out sounding better than when they were new! We source top quality speakers for most jobs, unless cost is a factor where we will source the best drivers available for your money.

Lighting

Lighting equipment can suffer from many different types of fault, due to their high power and problems with heat. A full inspection of the unit is done to locate faulty fans that lead to failure of internal components. We can rework internal power supplies and motors to get the unit back into good working order.
